The Centre for Laser Plasma Research (CLPR) was established in 1997 and is one of three designated research centres at Dublin City University. The CLPR is a node of the National Centre for Plasma Science and Technology and is located within two purpose built research buildings.

Currently under updating (as May 2012).

The Centre for Laser Plasma Research is involved in fundamental research into laser produced plasmas and their applications to industry.
